Visit a museum

Art, science, natural history, historical, local—decide which one appeals to you.
Ask someone to go with you, or take your family if that works. You don’t have to stay all day, and you don’t even have to move through the museum at the same pace. Just concentrate on what you’re interested in, and stay with that for as long as you like.

If nothing appeals to you, keep moving. Don’t stay with anything because you feel you must. Museums are like buffets: Inside there’s a wide range from which to choose, but you don’t have to eat everything. If you see a van Gogh that appeals to you, linger with it for a long time. Examine the texture, the representation, the way color and stroke are an integral part of the composition.

As soon as you feel you’ve seen or heard enough, leave. If there are things you feel you missed, or would like to explore further, go again soon.
