Write a Letter to Someone Special
Posted on December 19th, 2008 by admin
The letter doesn’t have to be long. Go for quality, not quantity. Think of someone with whom you’d really like to have a conversation and put all the things you would ask or say in words.
Set aside enough time so that you don’t feel pressured. An hour would probably do. Get out the writing paper and your favorite pen and sit quietly for a few minutes, or begin to think about what you want to say before you sit down. Then start by imagining that the person is right next to you. It could be someone close to you, or someone in the public eye. What would you like her to know first?
Once you start to write, the rest will come easily. If you momentarily run out of things to say, stop and let your mind wander. Eventually you will come back to the things you want to include in the letter.
When you’re finished, mail the letter as soon as possible.
