Whatever it happens to be, take the time to learn something new about what you do.
Are you an architect? Take a course on designing structures specially engineered to withstand earthquakes, or read Vincent Scully’s Architecture: The Natural and the Man-Made. Do you work in a print shop? Learn engraving, foil stamping, or desktop publishing. Take a course in bidding for jobs, a skill that might enable you to eventually open your own business.
No matter how much you know about a subject or field, there is always more to learn. Life is one unending classroom: you are the pupil, and everything that happens to you or that you choose to do is your teacher.
