Relate Food to Your Mood

Are you feeling the need to nurture yourself? Make a hot cup of tea and a bowl of mushy oatmeal. Do you feel sexy and loving? Open a bottle of champagne, indulge in a delicious piece of chocolate, and place yourself in a luxurious environment.
Do you need to break loose, to be more feisty? Eat as much spicy Asian food as you can tolerate. Are you feeling restless? Chomp on a carrot or celery stick, or eat a few pretzels. The action of your jaw will focus and release energy. If you’re feeling that you want to be grounded, make yourself a bowl of vegetable soup, or a plate of beans and rice.
Do you want to get hold of something? Sink your teeth into a triple-decker hero, hoagie, or submarine. Do you want to lighten up? Eat a salad.Matching your mood with the appropriate food demonstrates to yourself how much of what you eat is tied to what you feel, and vice versa.
